Doctoral training at doctoral school
To validate the doctorate, PhD students in addition to their research work must take a number of complemenary courses supervised by the graduate schools.
The regional doctoral schools : STEM No. 503 " Information Sciences and Technologies and Mathematics, No. 498 SPIGA" Engineering sciences, Geosciences, Architecture "and 3 MPL No. 500" Matter, Molecules, Materials, offer cross-dsiscuiplinary courses related to their research topic with the following objectives :
- Fournir aux doctorants une formation par la recherche de qualité ;
- To help students prepare their professional project ;
- To extend the students’ scope of knowledge by opening up to fields other than their own research topic ;
- To provide approximately a hundred hours of complementary training during the first two years ;
- To facilitate the exchange of PhD students between academic and industrial research centers in France and abroad.
