The Ecole des Mines de Nantes forms engineers and researchers to serve and anticipate the needs of industry. Its close relationship with the corporate world offers a double guarantee: to companies, both SMEs and large groups from diverse sectors, that they will always find graduates from the School with profiles necessary for their development; and to students, the certainty of exciting careers.
Directly administered by the Ministry of Economy, Industry and Employment the vocation of the Ecole des Mines de Nantes is to be the natural partner for companies, in terms of training, research and technology transfer. To carry out these missions, it is not alone: it is part of the GEM, the Groupe des Ecoles des Mines, a network of 7 establishments united around the same values and a common vision.

Founded in 1990, the Ecole des Mines de Nantes is located on a 15 hectare site in the heart of Atlanpole, the Nantes technology park. In its modern buildings, engineering students benefit from an ideal learning environment with state-of-the-art facilities.

The Ecole des Mines de Nantes offers a range of programs :
o The“diplôme d’ingénieur” Masters degree with graduation after 5 years of higher education in science and technology.
o International Master of Science and Technology
o PhD programs.
Out of a total of 850 students, more than 30% come from abroad. This ensures a stimulating intercultural environment

Two major areas of excellence

As well as providing a multi-disciplinary curriculum, the Ecole des Mines de Nantes offers the opportunity for students to specialize in their final two years of study. Emphasis is given to two major fields :
• Energy systems and environmental engineering, leading in particular to careers in the high growth sectors of sustainable development and the nuclear industry
• Information sciences and technologies, leading to careers such as systems architects, or project managers with a global vision of organizations and problems.
