Training

A competence based approach has been adopted by the Ecole des Mines de Nantes . Its aim is to establish a competency profile in terms of specific career paths. This competency profile has been established for each of the options (majors) of the graduate school.

For the sake of clarity, the main target competencies expected by companies at recruitment of have been grouped into 8 major aptitudes


 

  • C1 : The ability to explain physico-chemical phenomena and calculate the performance of treatment and production systems;
  • C2 : The ability to explain, calculate and argue the interest, characteristics and performance of treatment systems or management of industrial or urban disposal sites, from a technical and economic point of view ;
  • C3 : The ability to measure and control strategic variables and impacts, and implement experimental methodology
  • C4 : The ability to model and simulate a treeatment or complex production system ;
  • C5 : The ability to manage a project according to its specifications and take into account the economic, social and environmental;
  • C6 : The ability to carry out environmental and energy assessments for companies and local authorities;
  • C7 : The ability to identify, understand and explain the interactions between organizations, business strategies, and environmental and sustainable development policies;
  • C8 : The ability to communicate with the various company departments and with environmental stakeholders and other external bodies.
