Context

The école des Mines of Nantes, convinced of the importance of the innovation, key factor of the economic growth, developed since its creation a scientific policy passing by the creation of pole of excellence and a participation in the doctoral formations whose doctorate constitutes l' result of this formation.

Since this year, in the capacity as establishment Co-accredited jointly with the University of Nantes, of Angers and Le Mans, and the Ecole Centrale de Nantes, the école des Mines of Nantes is entitled to deliver the PhD in the scientific fields covered by the accreditation of these three doctoral schools until 2011.

The doctoral schools concerned are the following ones:

• STIM (ED 500 mathematics and information Sciences and technology),
• SPIGA (ED 498 Sciences for the engineer, Géosciences, Architecture),
• 3MPL (ED 500 Matter, Molecule, Materials in Pays de la Loire).

The School is also team of reception for the doctoral School

• D-E-GE-S-T (Right, Economy-Management, Companies, Territories)
