Industrial Engineering and Management of Logistics and Production Systems, (MLPS)

An 18-month integrated program (Starting february) : 2 academic semesters (lectures in English) and 6-month internship in industry or in a research laboratort. The Master has been accredited by the French Ministry of education.

Logistics has to do with the management of product and information flows throughout the production system and supply chain. The planning and optimization of logistics and production systems has become a key factor of success for a company's productivity and performance of service in the increasingly competitive global economy.

The program aims to give a competitive edge to industrial system engineers in die field of production and logistic systems by providing:

  • High-level technical and management skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of industrial systems operations management, production and logistics in all sectors of economic activity.
  • An opportunity to put into practice the theoretical concepts in a real industrial environment.

Context and objectives of the Master Program

As global competition becomes stronger and the demands of all sectors of the market continue to grow in terms of technology as well as price and service, companies need engineers and managers who can operate effectively across the Management—Technology interface.

The Industrial Engineer must therefore be competent in all the technical, economic and human aspects of a complex process. In particular, he must be responsible for the design and optimization of a product or a complex system throughout its lifecycle. The concepts of Industrial Engineering are essential for the design and development of production systems and logistics for both goods and services.

Whatever his initial training or first industrial experience, the engineer or manager can gain the theoretical knowledge and practical know-how that will enable him to become a true Industrial Engineer.

The program proposed aims to give participants a general training in the concepts of Industrial Engineering applied to production systems and logistics for both goods and services in all industrial sectors.
